Welcome

Murray Greys, Australia’s own breed, were first produced in the Murray Valley Region of Victoria in 1905. Over the one hundred years of the breed’s existence, Murray Greys have become known for their easy calving ability, high level of marbling and quiet temperament.

Through thirty years of selective breeding, the Ultimate stud has developed a line of cattle that have top growth and weight for age, whilst retaining the qualities that have made Murray Greys famous.

'Ultimate Capacitator' TTD C73, grey dob 16/09/07

The Island State sale of 2009 is an opportunity to obtain some of our famous female bloodlines through our top bull being offered from a Cherry Blossom. The Cherry Blossoms have produced champion bulls at the National in 2002, 2004 and 2005. Those who study bloodlines should be able to regard the quality of this year's entry. The basis for the Ultimate Murray Grey Stud has always been to have great females that can breed top calves from different bulls each year. 30 years of breeding cattle have proved that top female lines will keep breeding on consistently and the dam of this year's entry is one of our best.

For those who study pedigrees you will see that Ultimate Capacitator is very similar in breeding to Ultimate Hot Chocolate. This bull was 585 Kg at 13 months old when he was shown for the only time for Supreme Bull at the Huonville Show. Out of a fantastic cow that breeds great bulls and by a bull that breeds great females, this bull has got the breeding to produce great bulls and steers and replacement females. Capacitator has a great head, feet and testicles with a long deep body. He has been used in the herd and has DNA profile.
